Going around with Ben

A nice day in town spent going around with Ben Evans, an english photographer who lives here is Barcelona teaching people how to improve their skills in photography. It was very interesting going around with him listening to his advice and teaching, and just taking photos of what was surrounding us, doing experiments, trying to catch the right moment when to shoot....I still have a long way to go...but that was a start!

Me!

We stopped for a cappuccino in this nice bar in Barrio Gotico and took a photo of these two girls outside the shop window  watching the good cakes, chocolates and biscuits on sale....and myself while shooting a picture of them!

We stopped for a while listening to these musicians performing at a corner of Barrio Gotico

Funny light and wrong exposure but...I liked the contrast of colours between the two persons in this photo

La Boqueria.....I love this market, just in front of where I live. Always have fun portraying people and colours here...and I love buying food here, especially fresh seafood and fruit

And here is a recipe I found on the web which exactly explains the way I prepared this! Enjoy!

"Gambas al ajillo"
One of the most common "tapas" of Spain, gambas al ajillo, is quick, easy and FULL of garlic flavor. It's truly a classic tapa. Fresh shrimp, sauteed in olive oil and lots of garlic, with a touch of Spanish paprika and a splash of brandy all combine to create one of the most popular tapas. A pinch of red pepper flakes gives the sauce a slight bite!
