A taste of Rome!

I am now back to Rome, where I live....I thought it would be interesting to publish a few photos taken in my town to introduce my other blog, "Roma non far la stupida stasera"  by the name of a well known italian song composed by Armando Trovajoli).  Hope you will enjoy visiting Rome through my pictures! Just a taste of  the "eternal city"!

Piazza Navona, Giovanni: he reads verses in people's eyes, then writes them down on a yellow card! Very nice person....always writing something perfectly suiting the person for whom he's writing a little poem...unbelievable!!

One more musical post!

One more slideshow, pictures taken in Palma de Mallorca, Formentera, Barcelona, Sardinia, Rome. The song, "Don't know why" which I dare sing, is a famous song by Norah Jones! My second trial in combining images with music, for fun! Recorded in Barcelona, autumn 2012.

Musical post!

Just for fun, me singing an old song by Mamas and Papas, "Dream a little dream of me", recorded in Barcelona, and a little slideshow using a few pictures taken during my staying there, October/November 2012. My first trial in combining images with music. The black piano is a decoration on my apartment's bedroom wall, and the final photo shows how the living room wall was decorated, a "musical" flat indeed! The guitar picture in the beginning shows my very old Aria guitar, a present from my father on my 18th birthday...long long time ago....!

As the title of my blog is "Barcelona musica y colores" I thought this would be nice to share!

Rome/Barcelona.... face to face!

I am now back to Rome.....and I was just reorganizing photos in my computer. I realized there were some similarities between some of the pictures taken here in Rome and others taken in Barcelona....so I just put them together, like in a game, for you to have fun in seeing how much in common Italy and Spain have.....!!! (and how the photographer,...myself..., seems to be attracted by similar subjects, wherever shooting pics!!...)

Reds

"In Buddhism, red is one of the five colors which are said to have emanated from Buddha, when he attained enlightenment, or nirvana. It is particularly associated with the benefits of Buddhism: achievement, wisdom, virtue, fortune and dignity. It was also believed to have the power to resist evil.
In the Shinto religion in Japan, the gateway of temples, called torii, are traditionally painted vermilion red and black, and symbolize the passage between the profane world and a sacred place..." (from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

This post is meant to be "for your eyes only" (!!) as Sheena Easton would sing in a famous James Bond movie, that is to say that I did not add any comments to describe them!! Lazy....?...! Tal vez...I just thought they were nice together as each of them contained something red drawing attention! All of them were taken around Barrio Gotico, Barrio del Born, Barrio de la Ribera during my one and a half months staying in beautiful Barcelona...so dear to my heart (sounds like a phrase contained in the lyrics of Bob Dylan's "Sara" song....!).
